d.      International operation and internationalization/globalization strategy (if applicable)

2.      Organizational Environment (either general OR specific)

a.      General environment: identify company information related to economic, technological, sociocultural and political/legal trends

b.      Specific environment: identify company information related to customer, competitor, supplier, industry regulation)

3.      SWOT analysis: identify companies strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats

4.      Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Ethical Assessment:

a.      identify companies practices related to social responsibility (e.g. specific programs and product lines related to CSR)

Citing Your Sources

In academic writing, it is VERY important to properly cite your sources. This not only provides the original author with the acknowledgement deserved, but also allows your readers to verify your claims. There are a number of different styles to choose from when formatting citations, the Welch College of Business uses the APA style.  See the link below for more on how to cite your sources, or ask for a hard copy of the APA Manual at the SHU Library Reference Desk.

RefWorks

RefWorks® is available to all SHU users and allows you to import references from the Library's many electronic databases and catalog and format them in a wide variety of citation styles, including APA. You can conveniently compile a list of sources you intend to read and save the list online.  You can also grab references from web pages and format citations while you write your paper. For more help with using RefWorks, check out this guide: http://libguides.sacredheart.edu/refworks.
